The 15th Annual Ser Sundwan Kesari Vishal Dangal- 2007 organized by Ser Saundwan Dangal committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association will begin on August 21, (Tuesday) at government high school Ser Sundwan 20kms from district headquarter Reasi.
The decision to this effect was taken at a joint meeting presided over by the President Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also member sports advisory board district Udhampur and Ex. President Hotel and restaurant association.
Shiv Kumar said about 50-55 wrestlers from different states like Punjab, Haryana, in addition to various parts of the J&K state viz Jammu, Udhampur, Reasi, Doda, Ramban, Kathua, Rajouri, Bhumag, Panchari, Roun-Domel, Dansal, Akhnoor, Muthi, Army, BSF and J&K Police are likely to participate in the vishal dangal.
Sharma said they have decided to honour the best wrestler of the dangal i.e; winner of 1st malli as “15th Ser Sundwan kesari 2007” Title he will be awarded handsome cash prize and traditional malli.
Sharma further said a technical official committee has been formed to conduct the dangal in a very fine and smooth manner Capt Lehar Singh (Retd), Master Ram Kishan (Retd), Mohd Fareed, R.S Manhas, Sardari Lal Dubey, Raj Singh, Jagdish Raj Sharma, Raj Singh and Rattan Chand are the members of the committee..
Sharma also said the prominent wrestler of the state J&K participating in the vishal dangal included Qasim Din (Billu), Benia (J&K Police), Zakker Hussain, Roshan Lal, Anil Kumar (Mohanu) Onkar Singh, Swarn Singh, Mohd Akram, Kirpal Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Prem Verma, Sunny Sainf Ali, Suneet Sing and Prahald Singh.
