| CPI demands Judicial Inquiry of Talwara incident | | | Jammu | Aug 13
The state unit of Communist Party of India (CPI)while strongly condemning the brutal lathi charge on Talwari migrants at Katra recently has demanded a judicial probe to pin point those responsible for the attack.
In a statement issued here today the party has sought implementation of the Apex Court directions with regard to these migrants and urged the government to provide similar treatment to these hapless refugees as is being provided to similarly placed migrants in the state.
‘To suppress the voice of Jammu migrants will no way help anybody rather it would create more problems’ the statement said and demanded a judicial probe into the alleged excesses.
