| Kashmir issue should be solved within frame work of Indian Constitution: Vakil | | | Srinagar, August 12 MLC and senior vice president JK PCC Mr. Ab. Gani Vakil has said that time has come when Kashmir issue could be solved amicably through the consensus of all political parties within the framework of Indian Constitution. He said there is an impending need to solve the Kashmir issue once for all to realize the dream of Khushal J&K. Mr. Vakil was addressing a public gathering at Rafiabad Sopore today. He said by the sincere efforts of political parties and people of the state the day is not far away when dream of permanent peace will see the light of the day. He said that in this regard UPA government has taken some bold initiatives during the last two years by implementing Kashmir based CBMs. He said these efforts have made sea changes in the prevailing situation and added that thousands of divided families have met their dear ones across the LOC. Mr. Vakil said with the sincere efforts of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, the Srinagar-Muzafarabad road would be thrown open for trade soon to make J&K a hub of economic activities. He said the situation of J&K is improving day by day but still some vested interests inside and out side the country create hurdles in the peace process as they were in frustration because their shops would be closed due to permanent peace in the state. Mr. Vakil said that Congress would reject every proposal which comes from outside the country or any party which is not in favour of people of J&K state. He said the people of the state want all over development on every front to make J&K a developed state up to 2012 as envisaged by the President of India during his speech to the joint session of State Assembly. He said that our government has already taken a right path to realize this dream. Referring to the revolutionary steps taken by our beloved Chief Minister, Mr. Vakil said that introduction of triple shift system in development works of mega projects of the state would help to strengthen the infrastructure base in the state. He appealed the people to cooperate with the government whole heartedly for reconstruction of J&K state. Mr. Vakil also appealed the Chief Minister to waive off the interest on horticulture loan as this industry is in loss from last three years due to the drought in the state. He hoped the Chief Minister would look into this matter and make necessary announcement to provide sigh of relief to horticulture producers.
