The petitions were filed by Coordinator RIK Veer Saraf, in the office of Relief Commissioner (M) Jammu seeking information on several issues. In one of the petition the RIK has sought the details about the flow of money and its distribution. It has also sought information about the status of Medical Corpus fund set up for the displaced people, number of deaths and births of Kashmiri migrants while in exile, number of community members retired from service since 1990 along with the number of those appointed during this period. It has also sought information about the political migrants as most of the people were unaware about this category along their whereabouts. Veer Saraf while filing these petitions, urged the Relief Commissioner to share all the information sought for as soon as possible, in order to save the displaced community from further harassment. The petitions have been registered in Relief Commissioners office under Nos 492,493,494, 495,496 and 497 dated August 13, 2007.
