Various political parties and social organizations celebrate I-Day

Various political parties both national and regional celebrated the 61st Independence day with in the Jammu province with great patristic fervor and enthusian.
The Pradesh congress committee and its districts on Tehsil units at Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Udhampur, Kathua, Sunderbani, Tekri, R.S Pura, Ram Nagar and Chenani etc places celebrated Independence day with great pomp and shows. Since morning part workers both made and female were present in large number during flag hearting ceremony. Leaders while addressing the gathering called upon the workers to fallow the path shown by great leaders like, Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad etc. the leaders on the occasion said, that strength on the nation lies on the principle of secularism, socialism and unity.
National conference party activists both at district, tehsil and block level celebrated Independence day. At Poonch NC leader Ajaz Jan S/o late MLA Hareh G.M Jan hoisted National flag at party head office and paid glowing tributes to the freedom fighters, including late, Sheikh Mohamed Abudlah. He said J&K state is an integral part of the country. District president of the party Qazi Mohd. Sayeed also addressed the workers.
President National Congress party (NCP) and ex. Minister, Th. Ranbir Singh hoisted Tri-colour at chowk, Kunjwani. In this address he reminded the audience present on the occasion about the sacrifises made by the people for this day, irrespective of religion caste and cread. Under the leaders by of Mahatma Gandhi. He warned those political parties for mane vote bank policy don’t exploit people.
Socialistic Democratic Party , Chief Dr. Darukshan Andrabi along with congress corporator of Digiana, S. Rajinder Singh Gudoo unfurled this national flag at Shaheed Bhadur Singh park-Digiana. Leaders paid glowing tributes to the martyar Veer-Chakra Bahadur Singh. A free langer was also organized Dr. Andrabi in her address cautioned the people be vigilant against the anti-national elements, and added that rising above part liners is good for national interest, beside need of hour.
The JKNPP workers celebrated the Independence day function at various places in the region. The Supreme of the party, Prof. Bhim Singh, accompanied by MLA, Balwant Singh Mankotia hoisted ‘Tri-Colour’ at Talwara. The function was attended by large number of migrants MLA, Harsh Dev of the party hoisted flag party headquarter in presence of large number of workers.
Samajwadi party, state president and ex. MP, Sheikh Abdul Rehman hosted national flag at party’s state headquarter, Ashok Nagar, Satwari, he paid rich tributes to martyrs who sacrificed every thing.
Bhartiya Janta Party on the 60th Independence day Ex. MOS Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta raised flag give his best wishes to all people of J&K.
The other people present of BJP were Distt. Secretary Indu Bhushan Sharma, S. Amrik Singh, Corporator W. No.52 Shub Chander Verma, B.B. Sahni, Yash Puri, Ward President Vijay Kumar, Sh. Girdhari Lal and others also gave their views and celebrate Independence Day.
At Krishi Bhawan Complex Talab Tillo Director, Vinod Bala who was the Chief Guest conprahilated the employees on the occasion. A cultural function was presented by the students of Jagriti Mission School, Tallab Tillo.
MGS Hospital employees also organizes a function. Principal of the medical college Dr. Rajinder Singh hoisted the Tri-Colour. The function was attended by all the faculty members including staff of various department sweets were distributed among the patients of their attendants.
PHE Employees welfare association celebrated the function at PHE complex B.C.road. Chief Engineer Vinod Goswami was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
J&K PHE employees union also celebrate the day with great enthusian at its headquarters, Mahesh Pura, Bakshi Nagar.
SBI organizes patriotic sang festival state bank of India SBI Kachi Chowni, organized a patriotic songs festival in connection with the Independence day celebration at Govt Girls High School Gandhi Nagar in association with Viraj Kala Kendra an NGO orginistion, committed to the cause of women upliftment of down trodden children here today.
MLA Kanta Choudhary was chief guest and Dr. Indu Koul presided over the function. Sawaran Lal president state bank ladies club Jammu was guest of Honour.
Chief Manager state bank Kachi Chowni Rakesh Sharma thanked the audience for their participation and expressed his commitment to continue all support to organizes such function in future.
The tiger division celebrated 60th Independence day at tiger war memorial with gaiety, pomp and show. The function was celebrated in line with Indian army traditions where homage was paid to the martyrs who achieved martyrdom for the country with pride and honour.
The celebrations commenced with wreath laying ceremony as a salute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation major general, Sanjeev Loomba, GOC Tiger Division laid down wreath.
The army buglers sounded the last post which was followed by a two minute silence to remember the great sacrifices offered by our brave soldier since 1947. After the solemn function of wreath laying, balloons and pigeons were released in the sky to symbolize peace, Independence and free spirit.
The serving and army retired soldiers with their families and children graced the occasion. Prominent among were lieutenant General PS Vadera, Lieutenant General AS Jamwal, Major General Brij Nath Dhar, Major General RN Chibber, Major General RS Jamwal, Major Genral ML Mangotra and Brigadier KS Kotwal. To commemorate the auspicious occasion, function were also organized by the tiger division at various border village and schools in Jammu district. Army persons joined the Independence day celebrations and distributed sweets to the children.
On the eve of Independence day celebration, residents of vasant vihar constituted a mohala welfare committees, with Rohit Bali as its president. The other members are S.C.Bali Parveen Ghai, Sham Lal Gupt and Narayan Swaroop Sharma.
Earlier, residents celebrated the I-Day function which great fervor and hoisted National Flag youth of the Mohalla Torh great part in celebrating the I-Day function residents of Vasant Vihar frames mohalla body.

Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu in collaboration with J&K youth culture society Bari Brahmna Jammu celebrated 60th Independence day at Apex public School Bari Brahmna. The Tri-Colour flag was hosted by Sh. Nisar Ahmed Bhatt district youth coordinator Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu who was the Chief Guest on this occasion.

Provincial power employees Union (PPEU) president Shakti Gupta unfurled the national Tri-Color at power development department office, Green Belt Park, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu on the occasion of 60th Independence day of India.

Bar association, Jammu, celebrated INDEPENDENCE DAY. Bar association, Jammu today celebrated the Independence day in the premises of the court complex, Janipur, Jammu with full fervour and gaiety. All the members of the bar association were present in the function. The programme started with the flag hosting by the president of the bar association Jamu and Addl. Advocate General of the state B.S. Slathia and former president of the association namely D.K.Khajuria, O.P. Sharma, D.S. Saini, Surinder Singh, Sunil Sethi, beside senior advocates S.A Salaria, S.S.Lehar, U.K. Jalali and D.C.Raina including M.P Singh (Pali) president young lawyers association.

Independence day was celebrated in the Ram Vatika Park in sector-2 of the Roop Nagar housing colony under the auspicious of the area welfare committee of the colony.
National Tri-Colour was unfurled by the Chief Guest Subhash Bhagat-corporator of the ward amidst chanting of national anthem by the children.
Kunj Lal Sharma being a centenarian was guest of honour. He was honoured on the occasion by presenting a Shawl and a memento amidst thundering applause by the audience.

The I.N.T.U.C. J&K has celebrated 60th Independence day at PHE pumping station sub division I, Bagh, Jammu. All the officer, I.N.T.U.C. Worker and ministerial staff present in the function of Independence day and Vinod Goswami, Chief Engineer, PHE hoisted the National flag Goswami in his brief speech narrated the importance of his day and urged the employees and workers to work dedicatedly and honesty and also remain alert to safe guard the property of the department from the anti social elements.
