| SPO turned HM militant surrenders | | |

A Special Police Officer (SPO)-tuned militant surrendered before army and police at Kishtwar area in District Doda today.
According to reports SPO namely Nayeen Ahmed son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Bhumsheer Saroor, Kishtwar who had some time back fled away along with his service rifle had joined the militant ranks and joined the HM out fit and was active in militancy operations in the area.
After great persuasion from the family members he gave the militancy and today formally surrendered before the forces along with a rifle and some rounds of ammunition.
Sources said he told police that the militants had kidnapped him while on duty and forced to join militancy.
