| Smaller notes not withdrawn: RBI | | |
Jammu, Aug 17: Reserve Bank of India has clarified that although the printing of Re 1, Rs. 2 and Rs. 5 notes has been discontinued , the notes of these denomination issued earlier will continue to be legal tender.
Reserve Bank has made it clear that these notes are not being withdrawn from circulation and the doubts among members of public regarding the validity/acceptability of these notes are totally unfound.
