| Constable attains martyrdom | | | Jammu | AUG 18
One constable of Special Striking Reserve succumbed to his injuries today at Government Medical College hospital Jammu after he had sustained critical injuries in an encounter on 12 August in Rajouri district. The martyr constable has been identified as Bilal Ahmed of JKAP 8th Bn son of Ghulam Mohd Bhat resident of Kousharoy Kalan Bijbehara, Kashmir.
According to reports, the said constable was attached with SSR and was operating in Rajouri district. He had sustained bullet injuries when his party was ambushed by the heavily armed militants at Village Harmulta under the jurisdiction of Police Station Gursai. The injured constable was undergoing treatment at GMC hospital Jammu where he breathed his last and attained martyrdom
