Composite Mushaira was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Language in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Central at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu in connection with Independence Day Celebration. Renowned Dogri Writer, Artist and Scholar N.D. Jamwal presided over while Dr. Raj Kumar, Prof. P.G.D. Hindi, University of Jammu and T.R. Sharma, Additional Secretary Cultural Academy was present on the occasion.
N.D. Jamwal appreciates the culture academy for celebrating Independence Day by organizing Composite Mushaira and congratulated the participating poets. While welcoming the Writers Community T.R. Sharma Additional Secretary said this Composite Mushaira is a regular feature organized every year to celebrate Independence Day. He further informed that a cultural troupe f5rom Sri Lanka is visiting J&K State first time on 20th 0f August.
The poets who participated include Dr. Khayam Koul, Dr. Raj Kumar, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Ashok Kumar, Kanwal Jit Choudhary, Sheikh Mohd Kalyan, Dr. Chanchal Dogra, Pawan Khajuria, Rajpal Mastana, Narinder Singh, Swami Anternirav, Bhupinder Singh, Kirpal Singh Kasali, Amar Singh Kuka, Shamsher Singh Chowhalvi, Suraj Parkash Rattan, Virender Kesar, Narinder Singh Chib, Surinder Sagar, N.D. Jamwal, Dr. Champa Sharma, Nirmal Vikram, Anil, Surinder Singh Manhas, Ghulam Rasool Asgar, Anwar Choudhary, Vidya Rattan, Amin Banihali, Wali Mohd, Aseer, Piyari Hatash, Mehmood-ul-Haq and Liyaqay Jaffri.
Neeru Sharma, Editor Hindi conducted the proceedings of the Mushaira while Shamima Akhter, Special Officer for Cultural Activities, Cultural Academy presented vote of thanks.
