| Path to Vaishnodevi shrine reopened | | | Jammu, Aug. 18 (PTI): The path to Vaishnodevi shrine was reopened here today after remaining blocked for a fortnight, said an official of Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board.
Over 5,000 devotees made their way to the shrine after the road reopened today. The shrine board authorities also restarted the car service for elders, women and children.
The 5 km long route to the shrine was closed for pilgrims due to landslides triggered by heavy rains.
