| ABVP express concern over pity conditions of Jammu colleges | | | Early Times reporter Jammu | Aug 18 Akhil Bhartiya Parishad (ABVP) expressed its serious condcern over the pitiable conditions of the colleges in Jammu province stated National Executive Member ABVP , Suresh Ajay Magotra. While addressing the media persons, he said that as the college working for this session has started from 16th July , but till now the situations of the colleges at Ramban, Billawar, Basohli, Hiranagar, Kathua, Samaba, Kathua Women College are badly affected due to the non-availability of lecturers in them. He said that there are 50% contractual lecturers in already existing colleges while in Kathua college 70% stqaff is on contractual basis. He criticized the policies of Ghulam Nabi Azad Govt. and stated that ABVP will not allow Adhocism in the education field. Another statement he stated that ABVP is against the way Jammu University is mushrooming the Education system. Suresh said that on one side the Vice Chancellor Jammu University is mushrooming the name of the University by opening the new campuses at campuses at Poonch, Ramanagar , Udhampur, kathua , Reasi but the campuses lacked the infrastructure there. The students have to complete there 2years degree in 3years because of the conduction of examinations and declaration of results.
ABVP also demanded for the one new degree college for women in the Jammu city as the population is increasing day by day and the area of the Jammu city is growing and ABVP also condemned the attitude of the Education Ministry towards the Govt. schools in the state. Others who were present on the occasion included, Mukesh Kumar Executive member, Megha Gupta State Joint secretary and Ajay Sharma President ABVP Jammu City.
