| BJP criticizes recruitment procedure of Govt | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu Aug 18 The state BJP has strongly criticized the present recruitment procedure adopted by state subordinate service recruitment board (SSSRB) and other recruiting agencies in J&K asserting that it is full of loop holes and disadvantage to meritorious and deserving candidates. After press release BJP general secretary and former MLA, Bali Bhagat has demanded that the system of Viva-Voca interview should be abolished forth with as its gives a leverage to the selection on authorities to tilt balance in favour of particular candidate by allotting them highest marks kept for such interview at the cost of otherwise meritorious candidates. He has said the BJP would bring a private member bill in the legislative assembly making written test mandatory for making selections to all posts and abolishing the system of Viva-Voca to discourage nepotism, favoritism and other mal-practices in the selection for the various posts. While reaching to the recently published selection list for the posts of teachers of Jammu district, Bhagat pointed our that candidates with highest merit have been ignored by twisting 20 marks allotted to each member of the selection committee to adjust their near and dear ones, demanding immediate cancellation of the list. Bhagat suggested that in order to give representation to educated youth of all areas in the government service, the selection should be made on the basis of block and district level to ensure sanctity of district, divisional and state cadre.
