| Unidentified militant killed in encounter | | | Jammu | Aug 19
A joint party of police and army today killed an unidentified militant in Roun area in Basantgarh in Udhampur district. On a specific information that one militant was hiding in the jungle area, joint party of police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation during search the militant opened fire on the party. Joint party also retaliated. During the and after one hour encounter party managed to kill the militant and recovered one rifle and some rounds from the spot. The identification of the killed militant has not been yet find out as last report came and the search was on in the jungle area.
