| BSF Jawan attains martyrdom | | |

A jawan of BSF succumbed to his injuries today at Army Hospital Poonch after he had sustained critical injuries in an encounter on 18 August in Poonch Border. The martyr constable has been identified as Ramesh Chander of 49 Bn BSF.
According to reports, the said jawan sustained bullet injuries when some militants tried to enter in Indian side and open fire on BSF at Kranti Post Poonch. The injured jawan was undergoing treatment at Army Hospital Poonch where he breathed his last and attained martyrdom.
