| Minister attempts to resolve SRTC workers-management crises | | | Jammu, Aug 19: Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has called for a cordial relationship between the management and the workers of State Road Corporation for making it a viable and profitable organization. He said that a participatory and responsive approach is imperative for any organization to come up to the mark and for better delivery of services. He asked the management and workers to work in tandem for minimization of losses and maximizing the revenue and bringing it out of red.
Hakeem Yaseen was addressing an interaction session of management and workers of J&KSRTC here today. He said that issues related to release of salary, bonus, COLA and overtime dues to the employees of the corporation would be looked into. He said that the government has released Rs. 10 crore as budgetary support to the corporation for its revival.
During the interaction other issues related to implementation of SRTC Act 1950 and time bound promotion of the employees of the corporation also came up for discussion.
During the interaction leaders of Central Industrial Trade Union Amin (MP) Tapan Sain and CPI(M) state Secretary Mohammad Yusouf Tarigami were present.
Managing Director SRTC G. M. Sofi and Joint Managing Director Yogesh Koul and representatives of management and workers of SRTC also attended the interaction session.
