| Rs 22 crore for rural roads in Gool area | | |
Srinagar Aug 19: Minister of State for R&B, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Mr. Mohammad Khali Band has said that Rs.22.25 crore are being spend under PMGSY for construction of twelve roads in Gool area of Ramban District.
During his two days visit to various areas of Gool, the Minister inspected various ongoing works under R&B Sector. He said that under phase first five road projects costing Rs.10.60 crore under PMGSY have been taken up in Gool while as seven new roads with a total length of 31.5 km costing Rs.14 crore would be taken under phase second in the area. He said that three more road projects at a cost of Rs.3.15 crore are also being taken up under state sector to provide road connectivity to the hilly areas of Gool. He also said that Dalwa-Budhan road at a cost of Rs.2.71 crore is being constructed under NABARD funding in Gool, Ramban.
Addressing the gathering at various places in the area, Mr. Band reiterated that the Government is according priority to the core sectors especially the road connectivity, drinking water and health care. He said that simultaneously it has taken initiatives for restoration of peace in the state by the co-operation of people.
Minister of State for Health, Peer Mohammad Hussain speaking on the occasion said that sufficient funds would be provided for timely completion of receiving station at Gool and added that Rs.15 lakhs have been released for development of hospital building at Gool.
