| HM ultra slain, another held | | | Srinagar, August 19: Anantnag police eliminated one top Hizbul Mujahideen militant and arrested another militant at Marhama, Bijbehara District Anantnag this evening.
According to Sr. superintendent of Police Anantnag Mr. Abdul Gani, in an exclusive operation Anantnag police eliminated Fayaz Ahmad Das @ Zubair, son of Gh. Qadir Das, resident of Waghama "A" category militant of Hizbul Mujahideen. He was involved in many killings. He was active from last eight years. He was involved in the killing of a lady namely Shaheena at Waghama. He was also involved in killing of a Chowkidar and PDP worker. Another Hizbul Mujahideen militant namely Fayaz Ahmad @ Jamsheed, son of Habibullah, resident of Waghama was apprehended. He has return from Pakistan after 13 years and was active from last one month.
One AK 47 rifle, one grenade thrower three magazines, one rocket and some rocket shells were recovered from the encounter site. This operation was conducted by police in a very clean manner.
