| Harsh demands reservation for SC community in LC | | |

MLA, Harsh Dev Singh has demanded reservation of one seat for schedule caste in Legislative Council.
Addressing media persons here today he said there is a provision in J&K Constitution under section 50 for reserving the seat. He also demanded that steps should be taken for granting reservation rights to the people belonging to Schedule Tribe community.
Commenting on performance of coalition government in the state, he said, all development works have come to halt, especially in new districts which face problems due to shortage of staff. Growing unemployment and corruption were the two important issues on which the government has completed failed, the NPP leader alleged. ‘Without greasing the palm of officer or official, no file moves from on table to another’, he charged.
Harsh further said that Azad Government has also failed to issue ‘Dogra certificate’ as was promised in CMP while on other hand it passed ‘Roshni Act’ just to benefit ministers, bureaucrats involved in grabbing of Government land.
