He said the questioning of Masooda Khatoon wife of Abdul Rehman, who harboured and provided shelter to these Pak terrorists in her house, revealed that these terrorists were brought to Jammu buy one Master Javid son of Abdul Aziz son of Chak Banola Mendhar, a physical education teacher and posted in High School Kalaban where Masooda Khatoon is also a teacher.
The arrest of Master Javid has led to some starling revelations during interrogation and told Police that Qari had established a vast network of terror right from Poonch to Srinagar not only by way of killing and slaughtering the innocent civilians and attacking police and security forces but had also established Sleeper Cells in Poonch, Mendhar and Jammu.
The spokesman has also given details about the killings made by Saifullah in 2004 and his modus operandi to intensify the terrorist activities.
During investigation of the case it was found that Qari Saifullah had also bought a piece of land measuring three and a half marlas in ward No 2 Kamsar Mohallai n the heart of Poonch in 2003 and constructed a house last year with the help of Master Mohammed Javid and started living there with a lady and her two daughters. A big hideout was built in that house which was disguised in a wooden Almirah. The sources said that Rs. seven lakhs was spent on the purchase of land, construction of house and hideout by said Qari. During raid in the hideout Poonch Police also recovered photographs of a retired army personnel Mohammed Razak Khan resident of Bhati Dhar Poonch, well known OGW who was picked up the Poonch Police last year for harbouringn terrorists and is presently in Jail. The sources said that police have also arrested his wife Zubeda Begum and daughter Rubeena Kousar for questioning.
The official reports said that initial investigation of this case reveals that Qari and his associates had various plans to spread terror in different cities of the state and outside as was evident from his network and recoveries made from Qari Saiullah, Zafar Iqbal (the injured) terrorist and from the houses where they had taken shelter in Jammu, Poonch and Mendhar. Apart from arms and ammunition the joint operation team had also recovered Rs. two lakhs and during the search of Masooda Khatoon’s house, where the militants were hiding for more than 40 days, Rs.3.88 lakh were also seized in presence of independent witnesses of the respectable citizens of the area. Proper inventory of all the items including valuable jewelry worth about Rs.3 lakh which was found lying in the house that were handed over to the relatives of the house owner who were present in the house at that time.
In the meantime the sources said that the story about missing of Rs.14 lakh from Masooda house, as claimed by her, seems to have been planted at the behest of some vested interests to defame the joint operation team which raided the house.
The sources said that police is reported to have approached the bank to know the exact transactions of Masooda who has been contradicting her statement during the investigation.
IGP Jammu Shesh Pal Vaid said after Masooda’s statement that Rs.14 lacks rupees have gone missing during the operation from her house, SSP himself is investigating the matter and the truth will come out soon,
