| NC Chief pays rich tributes to martyr Photo Journalists | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu August 19 Appreciating the role of the media in the ongoing reign of terrorism in J&K State, National Conference Chief Patron Farooq Abdullah, paid rich tributes to two Photo Journalists, at a function organized here today. The function organized on the occasion of ‘World Photography Day’ by the photo journalists of Jammu, in the remembrance of two photo Journalists’, Pardeep Bhatia and Mustaq of Srinagar, who were martyred on taking shots of an encounter last year. Speaking on the occasion, Farooq Abdullah appreciated the role being played by the media on the ongoing reign of terror which is continuing from the last many years in the Jammu and Kashmir State. Abdullah also highlighted the role of Print and electronic media and said the media is updating the humankind about the happenings in around the world, and in this way the media has become the necessary part of routine daily life in every human kind. After the tribute ceremony, Farooq Abdullah visited the site of under construction complex, in the Press Club Jammu and also assured that every kind of help would be provided to the club in the ongoing renovation and construction program. MLC, Devinder Rana and MLC Harbans Singh also accompanied NC Patron.. Earlier, the Photo Journalists elected Khushvinder Singh as the President of the working Photo Journalists Association and Rajneesh Parihar as the Chief Patron of the Photo Journalist Union.
