| MES driver booked for killing colleague | | Carpenter’s body recovered in mysterious condition | |
Jammu | Aug 20 Gangyal police worked out a hit and run case and booked one MES driver for knocking down one MES employee in the area two day back. According to reports on August 16, police recovered a body of MES employee namely Dilwar Singh son of Kaka Singh resident of Bari Brahmna from the office premises and the other employee told the police that he had died due to fall from the roof. Police registered the case in this regard and took the body to GMC for postmortem. Sources said during the course of investigation police found out that the deceased was hit by one MES Tata Mobile vehicle in front of the store of MES complex and the driver of the vehicle had fled from the spot along with vehicle leaving the deceased in pool of blood and after that police raided different places and arrested the accused from a hideout. He has been identified as Rajesh Kumar son of Sarwan Kumar resident of Majra Chak, Bishnah and during interrogation he confessed the crime and further investigation is in progress. Police has also registered a case under section 279/304-A RPC under FIR No 64/2007 and investigating the matter. Meanwhile, in another incident one person namely Gulam Abass son of Mohd Din resident of Kouna, Kalakote area in Rajouri district found dead in mysterious condition from the area. Ghulam, a carpenter by profession was working in a VDC member’s house. Today afternoon he allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with the VDC member’s weapon. The owner of the house informed police which rushed to the spot and took the body to hospital. Police has registered the case in this regard and investigating the matter.
