| Bye, Bye politics; says Hari Om | | |
Jammu, August 20
Senior Vice President of the state Unit of the BJP Prof Hari Om on Monday said goodbye to politics claiming he is too busy with important academic assignments and was not able to do justice to the position he was holding in the state party unit.
Prof Hari Om after submitting his personally signed note to the state unit chief Ashok Khajuria dashed off press note to various media houses announcing his withdrawal from the post of the senior vice president and chief spokesperson of the BJP.
According to the note Prof Hari Om had said that," since I have not been able to do any justice to the position I am holding in the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the BJP for quite sometime and I was extremely busy with an important academic assignment I hereby withdraw myself completely from the political arena". "This is my well considered and final decision",Prof Hari Om said in the note.
Thanking his state party chief for lending him valuable support Prof Hari Om said that I take this opportunity to place on record my sincerest thanks to you and your colleagues, the inspiring central leadership and all the party workers for their support and love.
