| Rs. 5.50 cr being spent on upgradation of roads in Srinagar city: Charak | | | Srinagar August 20 (INFO) – Minister for Roads and Buildings Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak has said that Rs. 5.50 crore are being spent for upgradation and renovation of inner roads in Srinagar city during this year. Mr. Charak while inspecting the upgradation work of Lala Ded-Abdullah Bridge road said that Rs. 42 lakh are being spent on this road and is being completed within a week’s time. He said that most of the upgradation works of inner roads in Srinagar city are going on in double and triple shifts that would help to complete these within time frame. Mr. Charak asked the engineers of R&B to maintain the quality of work and see that the durability of the roads with stands all weathers. He also asked them to complete upgradation and blacktopping of the roads before the onset of the winter and avail the limited working season that remain available to them. Chief Engineer Kashmir Mr. Nazir Ahmad and other senior officers of R&B department accompanied Mr. Charak during the inspection.
