| JKCPO celebrates State Consumer Day | | |
JAMMU, AUGUST 20
Jammu and Kashmir Consumer Protection Organization (JKCPO) today celebrated State Consumer Day at Government Women College Parade Jammu where Divisional Commissioner Jammu Mr Sudhanshu Pandey was the chief guest while Principal of the College, Mrs Usha Jayee presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Pandey highlighted various aspects of consumer movement particularly consumer’s rights and their enforcement. He assured that the government will take up the cause of consumers but at the same time he also exhorted the common man to be conscious about their rights.
Six students of the college took part in the declamation contest on Consumer’s Rights and were awarded prizes, where Ms Ifra Mushtaq stood (Ist) followed by Ms Shilpa (2nd) and Ms Ashima (3rd) while others were given consolation prizes.
Principal Mrs Usha Jayee informed about the consumer rights and their enforcement.
