| LC pays tributes to Jan, Mir | | |

Legislative Council today paid rich
tributes to ex-legislators Mr. Ali Mohammad Mir and Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Jan who died recently.
Chairman, Legislative Council, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Lone moving the obituary references said, “This House expresses its profound sorrow and grief on the sad demise of Shri Ali Mohammad Mir and Shri Ghulam Mohammad Jan, Ex-Legislators. Words are inadequate to convey the deep sense of loss which the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council feels at their passing away.
This House pays its homage to the memories of Ex-Legislators and prays to Almighty God that their souls may rest in peace”.
Minister for Roads and Buildings Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak while paying tribute to the departed souls described them dedicated and responsible social workers who always remained committed to advocate the cause of people particularly belonging to poor and downtrodden society.
Among others who made obituary references include Mr. B.A. Naz, Mr. Ashok Sharma, Mr. B.A. Lodhi, Mrs. Farida Mir, Mr. Mohammad Rashid Qureshi, Mr. Davinder Singh Rana, Mr. Murtaza Ahmad Khan, Mr. Mohammad Sharief Niaz and Mr. Lal Mohammad Sabir.
Later the House observed two minutes silence in the memory of departed souls
