| Rs. 94 lakh spent on infrastructure development works by BDA: Dilawar Mir | | | Replying to a question by Mr. P. Namgyal, Minister for Tourism Mr. Mohammad Dilawar Mir said that the entry tax is charged from different vehicles entering Sonamarg on one side to up hill other than army vehicles, central government vehicles, state government vehicles as per schedule provided by Chief Executive Officer of Sonamarg Development Authority. He said that to save the picturesque of Sonamarg from any road dissection a ring road via Shutakadi and Sonamarg villages is being constructed and is expected to be completed within one year. To another question by Mr. Mohammad Sharief Niaz regarding the establishment of Tourism Development Authority at Bhaderwah, the Minister said that the Authority has started functioning since 2006 and has taken various development projects for execution. These works have been tendered and allotted to contractors. He said that an amount of Rs. 94 lakhs has been spent so far on these works adding that no laborers have been engaged for these works by the Development Authority. He also said that there is no proposal for establishing Bhalessa Development Authority as yet with the government.
