| JU declares first cut of list for PG courses | | | Munish Gupta Jammu | Aug 21 The first cut-off list for Post Graduate courses of Jammu University was announced today, ending a week of nervous waiting game for the applicants. As expected, the maximum cut-off marks were the highest in mathematics department while minimum cut off was in Buddhist department. For Economics department the highest merit was 72.86 and lowest merit was 61.19. In the waiting list the highest merit was 61.19 and 58.86. In pol.science the highest merit was 69.75 and lowest merit was 62.8 while in the waiting list highest merit was 62.42 and lowest merit was 58.04. For History department the highest merit was 66 and the cut of was 59 percent. While in the allied category the highest merit was 81.15 and cut of was 70.90 percent. In commerce department the highest merit was 75.74 and the lowest merit was 65.78 while in the allied category the highest merit was 72.67 and the cut off was 70.67. For English Department the highest merit was 66.9 and cut off was 58.3 In Hindi Department the highest merit was 67.04 and cut off was 60.52 For Dogri Department the highest merit was 64.14 and the lowest merit was 56.47 In Sanskrit Department the highest merit was 69.28 and the cut off was 59.38 For Urdu Department the highest merit was 61.28 and the lowest merit was 58.76 In Punjabi Department the highest merit was 64.28 and the cut off was 50.52 For Buddhist Department the highest merit was 58.57 and the lowest merit was 51.04 In M.Ed Department merit for the local candidates was 72.1 and 67.2 while for the outsiders the maximum merit was 80.8 and cut off was 73.6 For M.A. Education Department the highest merit was 67.04 and the lowest merit was 61.61 In Geology Department the highest merit was 74.8 and cut off were 62.95 while in the waiting list the highest merit was 62.90 and the lowest merit was 59.38 For Geography Department the highest merit was 76.95 and the lowest merit was 70.62 while in the waiting list the highest merit was 70.62 and the lowest merit was 67.52 In Mathematics Department the highest merit was 88.95 and cut off were 78.57 while in the waiting list the highest merit was 78.52 and the lowest merit was 75.75 For Botany Department the highest merit was 82.42 and the lowest merit was 78.42 while in the waiting list the highest merit was 78.04 and the lowest merit was 77.57. In Zoology Department the highest merit was 81.80 and cut off were 78.23 while in the waiting list the highest merit was 78.09 and the lowest merit was 76.76 For applicants of (Science and Commerce stream) in Sociology Department the highest merit was 86.24 and the lowest merit was 81.15, in Allied category the highest merit was 67.21 and the lowest merit was 66.67 In Sociology Department the highest merit was 69.19 and the cut off was 64.98 For Physics Department the highest merit was 86.66 and the lowest merit was 77.28 In Electronics Department the highest merit was 83.11 and the cut off was 72.90 For Chemistry Department the highest merit was 83.38 and the lowest merit was 78.42 while in the waiting list they highest merit was 77.76 and the cut off was 76.85 In Law Department the highest merit was 86.2 and the lowest merit was 67.39 For Stats Department the highest merit was 74.14 and the cut off was 64 percent
