| Function marks Van Mohatsava celebration | | | Early Times Reporter
Directorate of Environment and Remote Sensing held a function 5to celebrate Van Mohatsava, in Environment Park, Raika Jammu. The students of St. Xavier Convent School Barnai participated in plantation driver in which 200 saplings were planted by the students at Environment park Reika. At least 250 students as well as teachers participated in different deliberations. Sh. J.K. Kohli, Environmental Soil Conservationist presided over the function. J.K. Kohli, Environmental Soil Conservationist, Directorate of Environment and Remote Sensing while speaking on the occasion said, Global warming has emerged as one of the most important environmental issues ever to confront humanity our every day activities may be leading to changes in Earth atmosphere that have the potential to alter the planets heat and radiation.” On spot painting competition and Debate competition was also organized in the Environment Park in which 75 students participated in each deliberation. At the end of the function prizes were distributed among the students in which Nidhika Billawaria, Megha Koul and Kunal Manhas stood Ist 2nd and 3rd in Painting competition. Ashish Pandita, Samiksha Bakshi and Ketan Thakur stood Ist, 2nd and 3rd in debate competition.
