| RUD&SE training institute inaugurated | | |
Jammu, August 21
Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute (RUDSETI) set up by State Bank of India at State Bank Learning Centre in Trikuta Nagar was today inaugurated by district development commissioner Hirdesh Kumar Singh. The event marked the beginning of the 2-day Orientation Programme for The beneficiaries of Self Help Groups.
Speaking on the occasion, S R Taneja, Assistant General Manager, State Bank of India, said that SBI is the first bank to have set up RUDSETIS in all of its lead districts in J and K state as desired by the Government of India. He said the objective behind this is to orient, train and assist the unemployed to take up self employment ventures. Hirdesh Kumar lauded SBI for this initiative and impressed upon the bank management to conduct awareness and training programmes on regular basis in all the districts.
Earlier, R K Kaul, SBI chief manager talked about various initiatives being pursued by SBI in the state for ameliorating poverty and generating gainful employment.
