| VOICE demand compensation for acquiring land for rail line | | | JAMMU: The Volunteers’ Organization for International Cooperation and Equality (VOICE),a social organization, has taken strong exception over the failure of the State Government and the Railway authorities to rehabilitate those families affected with the construction of railway tunnel in Sangaldan area of Udhampur district
A team of the Organization led by its Chairman Imtiyaz- ul Abrar during its visit to the area interacted with the affected families who alleged that they have neither been compensated for the land acquired for the railway line nor properly rehabilitated.
The Organization has urged both the State Government and the Railway authorities to disburse compensation among the affected families at the earliest besides ensuring their proper rehabilitation.
