In pursuance of fostering brotherhood and spreading goodwill as part of OP SADBHAVANA 2/8 GR under the ageis of Krishna Ghati Brigade set up. Baba Garib Das academy on popular demand of local population of vill Jhallas, Salotri, Kisti, Dara Dullan and Ghani. The school has been in the forefront of activities in providing quality education to the students of the area.
With the establishment of the school by the KGB drew overwhelming response from the local populace. Presently the school has been started with strength of 83 students and 4 teachers upto primary level the school will be upgraded as a High School in near feature.
The school has been christened as Baba Garib Das Academy, Salotri adopted by the army with high hope that the children of this school given quality education and groomed as responsible citizens of the country with strong leadership values and character, will join other youth in shaping the destiny of our country. They will act as role models for other children in this region. The school motto in Pursult of Excellence.
Major Genral Rameshwar Roy, general Officer commanding, 25 infantry division in the presence of the Dy. Commissioner J S Pachananda and a large gathering of civil officials and the local populace inaugurated the academy todays. He complemented and rural people to come forward to impart quality education in English medium and to prepare their children to join Sainik School, Military School and Rashtriya Indian Military College.
