Early Times Reporter Jammu August 22, 2007 Reacting sharply towards the State government’s non serious attitude towards the long pending demands of the unemployed engineers, the All Jammu and Kashmir Unemployed Engineers Association (UEA) today decided to take some extreme steps in order to get their demands fulfilled by the government. The decision to this effect was taken a meeting here today. It is pertinent to mention that the unemployed engineers’ dharna entered 140th day today are seeking absorption on the pattern of ReTs in the state. Ashwani Manhas, an unemployed engineer alleged that the Association has no faith on the government as it has so far failed to concede the genuine demand despite assurances. He said the association was left with no alternative but to take extreme steps for which the entire responsibility would lie on the state government.
