| University turns into grazing field | | |

Jammu University which was once known for its beautification has now turned into a grazing field with wild grass every where.
A visit to the campus presents a horrible look. The wild grass coupled with presence of snakes has been endangering the lives of the visitors especially the students. The Public Relations Department which is more frequented by the students for filling admission forms presents a pitiable condition as it becomes almost impossible for anyone to venture in the area as the snakes are always omnipresent in the area.
Though many a times the students brought it to the notice of the authority but of no avail. The situation of the canteen, cafeterias and playing fields are not better and it is not understood as to what the Arbor Culture Department of the Department set up for maintaining the environs in and around the University has been doing. The Department that has a record of 70 gardeners at its disposal besides other staff seems to be ignorant about its functioning and some body needs to remind it about its duties and obligation towards the society for which they are paid hefty salaries.
