| NSUI criticize DEO for ignoring students’ demands | | | DODA, AUG 23- The district unit of National Students Union of India has strongly criticized the District Education Officer for ignoring the demands of the student community of the district including Bhaderwah and demands that all the vacant posts of lecturers should be filled up at the earliest. Addressing media persons here today Javed Iqbal District organizer, Vishal Kotwal President Higher Secondary school boys and Rahual Manhas Joint secretary demanded that 50% bus fare concession should be provided to the students of the district besides making immediate arrangements for toilet and other facilities in the school. They alleged that non availability of requisite teaching staff in the schools have adversely affected the education calendar and if immediate steps are not taken to this regard one precious year of the students is going to be marred. The student leaders also criticized the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education for making compulsory the 5th subject at secondary level. The NSUI leaders appreciated the District President NSUI Mohd Sajid Malik for organizing work shop last week in the college premises on the topic ‘Police-Public relations’. The student leaders said that they are going to organize a protest rally tomorrow against the shifting of the District Jail from Bhaderwah to Jammu and also appealed to people to observe dawn to dusk strike for the cause of Bhaderwah town.
