| Water crisis further deepens in Reasi villages | | |

The water crisis has further deepened in several villages of Reasi leading to mass scale protest demonstration and dharnas.
Non availability of potable water has forced the residents of Allaya, Sangad, Ekhli and Saasal to are un-potable water and for fetching portable water one has to foot a distance of 8 to 10 Km In some of the villages the situation is even worse as water is not available for the animals as well.
In some of the affected villages the inhabitants have been using unsafe drinking water and "it is better to drink unfit water than die of thirst- says Barjinder Singh a farmer from village Allaya.
