JWAM to continue indefinite strike on water crisis

Jammu Aug 23- Spearheading the agitation against the acute scarcity of drinking water in different parts of Jammu city, the Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has decided to go ahead with the indefinite strike till regular water supply is restored in the city especially in Jammu west constituency.
Hundreds of demonstrators today came out on streets protesting against the scarcity of drinking water.
Addressing the protestors, Sunil Dimple alleged that the government has completely failed to keep its promise and said that even after identification of sites for construction of 30 tube wells in Jammu West Constituency no work on a single tube well has been started so far. He stressed that ERA should t accelerate the pace of work on the proposed tube tubs and possibility explored for lifting water from Chenab for which the Centre has already provided Rs.430 crores.
