| Militants kill police cop | | |

Militants killed a police constable in Gursai area of border district of Poonch when he was on way to his relatives’ house. Identified as Mohd Sharief son of Gulam Mohd resident of Kot Draba, Surankot was posted in Special Operation Group (SOG) Gursai. He was on way to home when some militants who were hiding in the area opened fire on him in which he died on spot. Hearing the gun shots the villagers rushed to the spot and found police cop dead and informed the police. A Police team rushed to spot and took the body to hospital for postmortem and also launched a search operation in the area to nab the militants.
