30 beneficiaries in each constituency to be provided sewing machines, training, stipend: Haji Nissar

SRINAGAR:
Minister for Social Welfare Haji Nissar Ali today said in the House that sewing machines are distributed among widows and divorced women between 18 to 45 years of age under the J&K Integrated Social Security Scheme.
He said that from next year 30 sewing machines would be provided to such beneficiaries in each constituency of the state in consultation with the concerned MLAs. He said that the beneficiaries would be provided two months training for cutting and tailoring during which they will be provided a monthly stipend of Rs. 3500 per trainee.

Replying to the supplementaries by . Mohammad Syed Akhoon, . Ali Mohammad Sagar and . Usman Majid, the Minister gave details of district wise beneficiaries who have been provided sewing machines during the year 2004-05. He also gave the details of beneficiaries under National Family Benefit Scheme in the state.
