| JDA IN MESS; Vice Chairman MAY LODGE FIR TO RECOVER MISSING FILES | | | Jammu,August 23: All is not well with the office of the Jammu Development Authority. And its vice chairman Ashok Parmar is the first person to acknowledge the bitter truth. These days the corridors of JDA office are abuzz with reports that a large number of important files related to allotment of plots in housing colonies developed by JDA have suddenly gone missing and a war of words is on between the JDA officials and its Vice Chairman. The unrest is visible in the corridors of JDA and situation has reached flash point, a senior JDA official said adding that due to non availability of files in the office, which according to him have suddenly went missing, consumers are having a tough time. Official sources said inorder to clear the doubts in the minds of the consumers Vice Chairman has proposed to register FIR giving details of missing files to avoid further embarrassment and to bring the guilty to the book.We are now left with no choice but to lodge an FIR with the police as certain important files in large numbers have suddenly went missing and we could not trace them in our office, a senior JDA autority said here in Jammu. A senior JDA official demanding anonymity said that for a couple of days we were facing a typical problem. A large number of people visiting us were reporting cases of missing files and we strongly felt the need to register a case with the local police authorities to recover those missing files. We donot want to lose our credibility and will do everything possible to recover the files. the JDA official said.
