| Mobile service to Nubro inaugurated | | |

The mobile telephone service between Nubro and other part of the state was inaugurated today by the chief executive councilor of LAHDC, Chering Dorje. He made a first call to Sub-divisional magistrate, Nubro and also with BSNL officers.
After inaugural ceremony Chief Councilor urged CGM for connecting all the uncovered villages and hamlets of Leh district either with Telephone Exchanges or Digital Satellite Public Telephone (DSPT) and as well as Mobile Services. The CEC apprized the CGM about the topography of the district that the villages and hamlets are scattered in a huge area having considerable distances between hamlets and villages.
CGM on the occasion that 250 line Telephone Exchange Bema would be commissioned by October 2007 and another two telephone exchanges of Tangtsc and Chumathang would be also be commissioned by the end of this year. The laying of Optic Fiber Line would be undertaken by ending August to Tangste and Chumathang.
