Jammu, Mar 31: The crime branch (CB) of state police has registered a case against three persons for preparing a fake appointment order. A communication made by under secretary, agriculture production department, Jammu, was received by CB, wherein it was alleged that government order No 94 GAD of January 27, 2014 issued under endorsement No GAD (Estt) A/1323-27 and pertaining to the appointment of one Pardeep Singh Baju, son of Harnam Singh Baju of Bhagwati Nagar, as class IV employee in the horticulture department, was found to be fake as it was not issued by GAD. On receipt of the complaint, CB initiated verification and found that Pradeep, in connivance with one Pawan Kumar, son of Surinder Kumar of Lane No 3, Puran Nagar, Bhagwati Nagar, and Saroop Lal, son of Sanga Ram of Kothi Morh, Bari Brahmana, prepared a fake and fabricated appointment order bearing government order No 94 GAD of January 27, 2014 and produced it before director horticulture, Jammu, to secure his appointment as Class IV employee. However, on verification, the appointment order was found to be fake and not issued by GAD. It was also found that Saroop Lal, being a fraudster, was already involved in case FIR No 28/2006 registered at CB police station, Jammu. The omissions and commissions, therefore, on part of Pardeep, Pawan and Saroop Lal, prima facie, constitute offences punishable under sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of RPC, CB sources said.
