| Bottlenecks being removed for timely completion of SHP: Peer | | | Srinagar, August 24 – Minister of State for Power Peer Mohammad Hussain while replying to a question by Nassurrallah in Legislative Council today said that project report for construction of Sanjak Hydel Project was prepared in 1983 could not be commissioned due to non-refurbishment and non-installation of electro-mechanical equipments and non-supply of balance electro-mechanical equipment. He said that electro-mechanical works were allotted in March 1989 where as civil works of the project are almost complete except second stage concreting and minor allied civil works, restoration of damages due to floods in August 2006. He further stated that the completion of the project got delayed due to contractual problems and added that the work on the said project shall be resumed and completed after resolution of the contractual bottlenecks.
