| Pali becomes a model village at Udhampur | | | Early Times Reporter Udhampur | Aug 24 Under operation Sadbhavna, village Pali of Panchayat Kambal Danga located about 12 Km from Udhampur city was selected by headquarters 71 Sub Area for conversion into a model village. Today, the model village was inaugurated by Brigadier KK Chopra, Commander 71 Sub Area and landed over to the villagers of Pali. As part of Military Civic Action the Army constructed an additional class room with desk and chairs in the existing girls’ school a new hospital consisting of two beds for patients and a veterinary clinic. In addition to this community hall and vocational training centre has also been provided. It consists of four computers, four sewing machines and Knitting machines each. A fully furnished library has been made available for the villagers. Besides this two hand pumps and a 64 KVA transformer has been installed. The cost of the project was approximately 40 lacs and has been completed by the Army in records time of less than a year. A total of 10 villages are likely to be benefited by this Sadbhavana project.
