ASN School holds Guru abhinandan programme

The management of A.S.N. Hr. Sec. School, Channi Himmat, Jammu in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad (Shivalik Branch, Channi Himmat) Jammu held “Guru Vandan Chhatra Abhinandan Programme” inside the school premises today to enhance the student-teacher relation in order to improve the education system.
The function started with lightening of traditional lamp, garlanding of Mother of India followed by “Vandey-Matram”.
Ritesh Kapoor, Administrator of the School highlighted the importance of the celebration of such a day. He said today in the era of change, everybody is moving away from his social responsibilities and not only adopting the western culture but also forgetting our own cultural heritage. He welcomed the members of Bharat Vikas Parishad for showing their contribution in making the people aware of Indian Culture and also the responsibilities towards the society as well as the Nation at large.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Suresh Gupta, President J&K Bharat Vikas Parishad presented the importance of Guru Vandana as per Gurukuls in the history and gave the symbolic representations of the same. Various resource people who spoke on the occasion are S.N. Sharma (National Convener), Dr. D.R. Kotwal (Ex-President), R.P. Gandotra (Gen. Secty), Sudesh Sharma (Treaurer), Shiv Charan Dass (Vice-Principal of the school).
More than 300 students and above 20 teachers of the school attended this programme. Various students were also awarded for their outstanding performance in the school during the programme by members of Bharat Vikas Parishad. Ashiana of 12th Class, Parvinder of 11th Class, Vikas Koul of 10th Class, Pooja Saproo of 9th Class, Naseer of 8th Class, Diksha Koul of 7th Class, Sahil Thakur of 6th Class.
The Programme closed with National Anthem followed by the Vote of thanks presented by the Vice-Principal of the School.
