| Ban private practice by doctors: SS | | | Jammu | Aug 24 The activists of Sangram Sena (SS) in a meeting have taken serious note of Government doctors who freely indulged in private practice. While, addressing the activists, R.R. Raina, president of Sangram Sena said, that due to private practices poor patients suffer most, as they we not in a position to pay consultation fee etc to doctors at their private clinics. Beside, this there is a trend among Govt. Hospital doctors in referring patients to particular clinic run by their colleges etc. There is a acute shortage of medicines in all government reen hospitals he said and added that poor patients are forced to purchase costly life saving drugs from open market, which add to their problems. Raina along party workers appealed to the chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and heath Minister Mangat Ram Sharma to intervene in the private practice of Govt. doctors in the interest of poor masses and stop private practice.
