| DGP conducts security appraisal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER
Jammu, August 13
To review the security arrangements made in connection with Independence Day celebrations, Director General of Police Mr. Gopal Sharma conducted security appraisal at a high level meeting, here today.
The meeting which among others was attended by Divisional Commission Jammu Mr. Pramod Jain and Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone Dr. S P Vaid exhorted upon the officers to restrain extra vigilant in view of the inputs received from varius agencies in ensuring peaceful celebrations.
Later, the director General of Police also visited other districts of Jammu province like Doda, Ramban, where he held similar meeting and urged upon the officers to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of Independence Day celebrations.
