Jammu Aug 26-Giving a bandh call in entire Jammu and Kashmir State on August 29 in protest against what it called ‘murder of democracy’ Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party Supremo Prof Bhim Singh has appealed all the democratic parties, social organizations, youth and students, leaders and shopkeepers to observe complete bandh on this day in the entire state against the corrupt authoritarian and anti people government. In a hand out issued here today Prof Singh alleged that ‘democracy has been assassinated in Jammu and Kashmir’ adding that the government showed scant regard to the Apex Court verdict on the Jammu migrants. He said that human rights violation and committing barbaric assaults on the peaceful migrants and the PP activists including Anita Thakur, H C Jalmaria and P K Ganju are some of the glaring examples of government’s highhandedness. ‘Suspending Harshdev Singh leader of the legislature party from the Assembly for raising the issue of police atrocities against PP leaders and the migrants is violation of all the norms’, he said. Singh strongly criticized physically throwing out the elected representatives of the people including Fariq Nath, Balwant Singh and Yash Paul Kundal, Legislators from the Assembly when they tried to raise the issue of unemployed engineers, doctors, agricultural technocrats and others
