| Charak flags off “Charri Mubarak” of Budha Amarnath | | | Poonch, August 26 (INFO) – Minister for R&B Gulchain Singh Charak today flagged off “Charri Mubarak” of Budha Amarnath from Akhardia Mandir Poonch to Mandi on auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan. Local MLC Lal Mohammad Sabir was also present on the occasion. Thousands of people from all faiths including Hindus, Muslims and Skihs were present on the occasion. “This shows the true picture of Hindu, Muslim, Sikh Itihad of Jammu and Kashmir for which the state is known for all over the world”. Earlier, Minister also took part in Pooja and accompanied yatra procession. While speaking with media persons, Mr. Charak congratulates the people of Jammu and Kashmir particularly people of Poonch for taking part enthusiastically in Charri Mubarak procession and said it is the true example of communal harmony for which the people of Poonch are known in the state. He appealed the people to continue this Bhaichara for future also as it is the key principal for realizing the dream for prosperous Jammu and Kashmir. Answering the question for becoming the first Minister to flag off the charri Mubarak, Mr. Charak said “It is my luck to participate in the auspicious occasion”. He said every religion taught us brotherhood and communal harmony. He prayed that these festivals would bring peace and prosperity in the state. He appealed the Poonch people to preserve pristine cultural and religious heritage for future generation.
