Jammu Aug -26- Exhorting party workers to propagate the message of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in every nook and corner of Jammu region, the PDP leader and MLC Ved Mahajan said that the party has been emerging as a biggest political force in this region.
Speaking at a function organized by the party workers to felicitate him on assuming charge of vice president of the party, Mahajan said that the party was not merely a political party but a movement to restore peace and tranquility in Jammu and Kashmir and reminded that since its formation PDP has been propagating the policy of dialogue to solve all the vexed issues of the state. ‘It was the result of the party’s policies that relations between India and Pakistan have improved’, he claimed.
Calling upon the party workers to spread the message of party at gross roots level to properly educate the masses, Mahajan said that some vested interests have launched vicious campaign against the party and it was duty of every party worker to counter this malicious propaganda.
Saying that the state under the leadership of Mufti Sayed had taken several radical steps to remove discrimination with Jammu region, Mahajan exuded confidence that performance of the party would be unexpected in Jammu region in the next Assembly elections.
Those who also addressed the felicitation function were Dhaman Bhasin, Asgar Ali, Renu Azad, Shanti Devi, Rafiq Khan., Ramesh Koul, Nirmal Singh, Ashan Mirza, Harmeet Singh, Baldev Slathia and Surinder Choudhary.
