| Centre releases Rs.110 lakh to J&K under ARWSP scheme | | |
Jammu, August 27
Under the Centrally sponsored scheme of Accelerated Rural Water Supply Programme-DDP Areas, Centre has released grant-in-aid to the tune of Rs. 110 lakhs to Jammu and Kashmir State as first installment.
Under the scheme, Centre has made a provisional allocation of Rs.220 lakhs for the current financial year for the state.
The funds have been released to the State for execution and completion of schemes to provide safe drinking water facilities to rural habitations and schools under the Centrally Sponsored ARWSP-DDP as per the priorities indicated in the guidelines for implementation of rural water supply programme.
